The earrings look like a swan and are 18k white gold plated and have cz stones. I have sensitive ears in that anything that isn't silver or gold irritates my skin. These earrings did not irritate my ears at all. They are a decent size in that they are big enough to see, but not so large that the earrings overwhelm my ears. They are lightweight as well which is really nice. These are of great quality and stay on my ears nicely. This set is the perfect Christmas gift, or just a gift for any occasion.
