The fabric is super soft and stretchy and is really comfortable to the touch. My kids actually started playing with it when I was trying to figure out if it would work as a nursing cover and they wouldn't let it go for a while. They absolutely loved the feel and thought it was so fun to wear as a cape of sorts for them. It fits over my head and I'm plus size and I'm actually able to pull it down to be able to check on the baby while I'm nursing and go to cover whatever I would like to. It also works great to put in a shopping cart to make it so that my child isn't touching all the germs on a shopping cart. The black and white print makes it so that way it could be used for boys or girls. I see me keeping this for emergencies in my diaper bag for all its uses.
